American Business Women’s Association Scholarship

 

  • Description: The mission of the American Business Women’s Association is to bring together business women of diverse occupations, and to provide opportunities to help themselves and others grow personally and professionally through leadership, education, networking support and national recognition.  The Iris Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association (ABWA), in Griffin, Georgia, offers an annual scholarship to students pursuing degrees with Business as a focus.  ABWA desires for funds awarded to be used for educational purposes.  
  • Amount: $750  
  • Eligibility: An undergraduate UGA student at the Griffin Campus, major in a degree with a Business emphasis 
  • Deadline: March 31 
  • Award Decision: April 30 
Amon L. Cain Special Needs Student Support Scholarship

 

  • Description: Mr. Gary Cavanaugh and the Trustees of the Amon L. Cain Trust provided funds to the UGA Griffin Campus to support students who are registered with the Disability Resource Center, to accommodate access to instruction and services. 
  • Amount: Up to $1,000  
  • Eligibility: UGA student at the Griffin Campus, registered with the Disability Resource Center | https://drc.uga.edu 
  • Deadline: Rolling  
  • Award Decision: One month after the application received. 
Central Georgia Community Foundation Board (Formerly Dundee)  Scholarship

 

  • Description: Mr. Tom and Mrs. Gail Gardner donated funds from the Central Georgia Community Foundation Board (formerly Dundee/Barnesville-Lamar County Community Association Board) to support study abroad opportunities at the University of Georgia.  
  • Amount: Up to $2,500 
  • Eligibility: UGA Griffin Campus student attending a UGA sponsored study abroad tour 
  • Deadline: Rolling 
  • Award Decision: One month after application received. 
College of Agricultural and Environmental Science (CAES) Student Scholarship 

 

  • Description: The purpose of the CAES General Scholarship Fund is to support students enrolled in the CAES on the Griffin Campus. Support shall include, but not be limited to, in-classroom and out-of-classroom experiences (i.e., conference fees, travel, research supplies), hands-on experiences, and recognition and leadership awards.  
  • Amount: Up to $2,500 
  • Eligibility: College of Agricultural and Environmental Science student at the UGA Griffin Campus 
  • Deadline: February 15 and September 15 
  • Award Decision: April 1 and November 1 

Fonseca Scholarship

 

  • Description: In memory of former Griffin Campus Master Gardener, Dr. Marco Fonseca, funds are allocated to support educational pursuits in Horticulture or closely related field.   
  • Amount: Up to $1,000 
  • Eligibility: A UGA student, at the Griffin Campus, studying in the field of Horticulture.  
  • Deadline: February 15 and September 15 
  • Award Decision: April 1 and November 1 
Marie Fort Garden Club Scholarship

 

  • Description: The local chapter of the Marie Fort Garden Club awards an annual scholarship to student majoring in Horticulture or a closely related field in the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences at the University of Georgia’s Griffin Campus.   
  • Amount: Up to $1,000  
  • Eligibility: An UGA undergraduate or graduate student at the Griffin Campus, majoring in an agricultural degree with a preferred emphasis in Horticulture. 
  • Deadline: September 1 
  • Award Decision: October 1 
Pearle Black Walker Scholarship

 

  • Description: In honor of Ms. Pearle Black, the late grandmother of UGA Law School alum, Charles Jones, to support CAES professional development for College of Agricultural and Environmental Science undergraduate students, at the UGA Griffin Campus. 
  • Amount: Up to $500  
  • Eligibility: CAES undergraduate students, at the UGA Griffin Campus 
  • Deadline: February 15 and September 15 
  • Award Decision: April 1 and November 1 
Rhoda Hopson Ingram Scholarship

 

  • Description: The Rhoda Hopson Ingram Scholarship will support students who are studying conservation, preservation, and wise use of natural resources through Agriculture, Horticulture, and other Biological and Natural Sciences.  
  • Amount: Up to $1,000 
  • Eligibility: College of Agricultural and Environmental Science undergraduate students at the UGA Griffin Campus, majoring in Environmental Resource Science or a closely related field. 
  • Deadline: February 15 and September 15 
  • Award Decision: April 1 and November 1 
Walker Scholarship

 

  • Description: Dr. Jerry and Mrs. Mary Walker provided funds to provide student support for College of Agricultural and Environmental Science students at the UGA Griffin Campus.  
  • Amount: Up to $1,000 
  • Eligibility: College of Agricultural and Environmental Science students at UGA Griffin Campus 
  • Deadline: February 15 and September 15 
  • Award Decision: April 1 and November 1
